I have the external single 2 way cylinder that makes up the hyd 3 PH system on my MH30. It's
the kind that sits under the tractor seat and has the activating leaver attached. It is double acting ie: pushes implement
down and raises. I'd like to disable the down
pressure because I'm using a snow blower and
would like it to rest on the ground on it's own weight. It would also be quicker to decend. I was wondering if there was some easy screw that I can turn to disable it?

If it was me to keep my power up and down id get an afermarket loader valve about70 bucks then you could have power up and down and the float. or take the linkages out and put in lift chains like i do on my Cub.

tyler(WA)is exactly right, you just vent the side that doesn't do the lifting and put your hydraulics to the other side. Be aware that if the cylinder is not in good condition the vented side will shoot out some oil when you raise the tool.

I think there is a way that you can pull a pin or move a pin. Or something to make it float If you change the cyl. to one way you may have problems getting some implement that are light like a rake to go down. Some one should read this post and be able to tell you more. Jonathan

Northern Hydraulics has a cheap vented plug that allows you to do that very thing. Just plug the side you want and attach the other to your hydraulics.

On 44 Sp 3 point hitch there is a bin where the rock shaft is pinned to the right lift arm ,just ahead of the leveling gearbox, that can be removed to let these float.
