I have a Massey Ferguson 65 tractor and am trying to find some information on the hydraulic system. Could someone tell me where the oil filter is located on it? I bought the tractor used and the filter has not been changed since. I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance.

Depending on the year of your tractor it may or may not have a filter. My 58 did not have a filter.

Bill:

The hydraulic pump and filter is located inside the rear transmission housing. That is right behind the transmission. You can get to it by taking the top cover off of the housing. You may be able to get to it by taking off the observation port located on the right side of the housing. The observation port is directly across from the PTO lever located on the left side. I believe that you will have to drain most of the hydraulic fluid to get to it. Hope this helps you.

If you dont have a service manual I suggest that you purchase one if you are going to do any work on it yourself. It sure has saved me time and money.
