Replacements, if your specific solenoid is still available are quite costly. (I would GUESS between $100 and $200, typically.) You could try McDonald Carburetion (GOOGLE it) or your Massey/Agco dealer. That being said, if enough has been cut off of the needle on the old solenoid so it's away from the main jet, it's not the cause of "dying" when you rev it up, as the main jet will be wide open and flowing all the gas it can. Could be dirt in the "load" circuit of the carburetor, restricted flow of gas somewhere between the tank and float bowl, or even a stuck ignition timing advance. Also, for some applications, an adjustable "load" needle assemble can be used to replace the solenoid, which would probably include a bigger main jet. The carb shop I mentioned previously may have some ideas about that, or you could search the 'net for more info on doing that.
