Did the loader on the 2135 in the picture come on that tractor from Massey? [is there a model # on it per chance?] Is there an aux hydraulic pump on the fornt of the motor? There is no aux pump in the gear box, right?
Wish I could help you on the engine interchange specifics.
Thanx; Tom S.

Here's the poop on my scoop.

First the tractor:
I have the Continental Z-134 engine
The Tractor SN is SGM646000445
There is an auxiliary hydraulic pump mounted on the front of the tractor but my manual describes aux hydraulics from a pressure port on the Hydraulic Lift Cover. I can set my Hydraulic Control Levers to a constant pumping position and use that port to run implements. The Constant pumping is not affected by the tension or compression of my top link draft control.

The loader:
Massey Ferguson model # 99
SN 35401

I think the constant pumping is from the main Hyd pump that operates the lift. Other Massey's have this feature even though they don't have draft or an aux pump in the gear housing. Volume is limited, but works good for a 3 point.
What we were wondering about was the possibility of putting a second aux pump on an ag tractor where one is already present in the gear housing. A writer here a few weeks back asked about powering some kind of rock picker, with the same kind of hyd setup on a little larger tractor I think. We have a buyer who needs a 50 or so horse tractor that can be used to power some speciality sawmill machinery as well as be used to operate a lift.
We were looking at some old backhoes that could be converted, and I think that valving the hydraulics to quick disconnects might be the answer. I know an ag tractor does not have enough capacity with the in housing aux pump to get the job done, and he wants to stay away from a PTO pump to leave it for other use, if possible. It sounds like he needs 2 tractors, but the customer is always right!
Anyway, Thanx guys for your info and help. Tom S.

What is wrong with a pump mounted on the front of the engine? That is what operates my loader. I know another that operates a sickle bar mower

That is what we are looking at now. We can't figure if we can get by with an old backhoe tractor that has been stripped, or can we add the pump to the front of an ag tractor that already has two pumps in the case. Ag tractors we have. Tom S.

Tom-My loader looks just like Tylers except the controls are mounted on the loader support on the right side. There is no name or data plate that I can find. Mine has an aux pump on the front of the engine, I also have an interchangeable bucket or fork lift. The whole assm is very heavy and makes the tractor a little bit awkward. Power steering is a necessity. The Z134 engine in my MF50 is completely different on the bottom side(oil pan, lower casting, etc) from the Z129 in the 2135. Other than that they look alike. I understand that the numbers are the displacement. These are Continental engines.

Correct, the numbers are the displacement. I think the difference in height due to shorter stroke of the 129 will make for some problems, but I have never swapped one before. The manufacturer for Continental was bought by Wisconsin Engines a few years back. The new company name is Wis-Con Total Power. They are in Memphis Tn. I am sorry, but I have lost their number. They have tech support that used to be very good. They might have a web site. Tom S.

Wisconsin motor address is as follows:
Teledyne Total Power
Memphis, Tennessee
38181-1160
Sorry, that's all I have listed on the late model book. Fred from the Mung Factory
