Does anyone know what the dead lift capacity of a MF 65 3PH is?

I have the operators manuals for both gas and diesel tractors and nothing is mentioned of the 3 pt hitch break away pressure. System pressure is 2500 psi. I would imagine the break away capacity would be in the nieghbourhood of 5000 lbs. If you need a copy of the operators manual email me.

I have a chance to by a MF 65, but people in the north part of Detroit feel that it was not the best series. Questions about the power steering, PTO's, and others seemed to indicate that it is not a sure fire, bulit-proof tractor. The on I am looking at seems to run and everything currently works, and the guy is asking $2800.00. Says it is a hard one to sell because of it's size. Another guy said they were selling for under $1800.00 this summer in Ohio becasue they were not a "good" seriews, and that I should waite for a 145/165 or so?
Comment?

Hutch,

I may not be the best person to ask as I have only had my 65 for a couple of months, but people around here (Saskatchewan, Canada) seem to feel the 65 is a good machine for its size. Around here that size is hard to find as everyone is looking for acreage tractors. I'm not familiar with US prices, but that tractor would sell for $4000 - 7000 in Canadian dollars (approx $2500 -5000 US). But yes, they do seem to have power steering problems. On a bad day I "herd" mine rather than steer it.
