I have a MH30STD and want to use a PTO generator.
I am wondering if there is device that can be wired into the tractor that will shut down the motor if the oil pressure drops and/or the motor overheats. I had a conversation with a person who thought there was, and it's called a "Murphy switch". Anybody out there have any information on this or anything else that might do the same thing?

Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill -

Good thinking!

The irrigation folks have Murphy engine protection components on the shelf. Sort of mix and match for your particular application and power plant.

Talk to a GM parts person and they should be able to help you out. When I swapped engines in my blazer remember something coming off the oil filter housing. After looking at the engines wiring diagram it was a oil pressure cut of switch. Good luck and Merry Christmas
