I have a 1936 Challenger, # 13. (It's original and runs great.) Someone told me it was originally green. It's been in the familly since new and it has always been red. Dosen't seem to be any other color under the red. Does anyone have knowledge of the paint scheme in 1936 ?

Thanks,

B. Batts

How big's the landscaping project ?

If it's just moving and shoving some
stuff around, then the MF135 will do fine.

If you're moving mountains... then the other
advice fits.. a small farm machine with a bucket isn't suited for earthmoving.

For a 1 shot job like the dam, your're better off renting the proper equipment (cat ? excavator ?) and getting it done with... then use the MF135 for your daily chores...

I'd get the diesel.

1936 was the year Massey moved to red and yellow on the tractors. Up untill then, yes they were a deep green colour. Massey used green and yellow on some of the tillage gear for a number of years after that as well. I have a few catalogues that show ploughs and discs still green and yellow immediately post war.
