20 brakes

I have a M-H 20 and the brakes are very weak(loading on a trailer is scary) we have had these apart and did cleaning and so on, whats goin on here or are they bad from the factory?

The original 20's were a little spooky ( a single disc and a straight rod to the pedal ) the later ones were a mechanical advantage with a 2 disc ass'y. Much better. My 81 had the ones like the 20 and what we found was a little oil causes a lot of headaches but most of the problem was in the worn pivots in the "Primary Disc". Known to the rest of the world as the calliper ass'y. Let me know if you need any info... we found a set that weren't as worn but have had people tell me thay can be welded up. Good luck - ALAN

thanks, i will look into it but i am not sure how bad i want to do it being that i have it painted up very nice now.
