I had a 101 jr at one time, never did rear end work, but if it is like a 33/44 inside: 1) remove rear cover 2) remove bull gear from axle 3) remove axle/ axle housing from rear end casting 4) remove brake drum 5) remove plate over the brake pinion 6) remove pinion This may not be exact order, or exactly how a 101 comes apart, but I know that the 30,33,44,44sp.(w/o live pto)and 55 are. you also might not have to remove the axle housing and axle, but You will almost have to take out the bull gear (In 30, 33.... etc) you have to remove the axle or the axle housing assy to remove the bull gear. (I do believe that the 101/102's were quite similar) My best oinion, however, would be to find you a service/repair book. Nothing can quite explain it the same. I think repro's are available for around 30 bucks, and are well worth the money if you plan to keep the tractor, and do the repairs on it that it may need in the future. Hope this helps you out, Brad
