My 44 owner & operator's manual says the tranny holds 12 US gal for the Standard and 13 US gal for the Row Crop. Can't imagine what the difference is unless it's the axel housings. Hope this helps - ALAN

My ols "Motors Truck and Tractor Repair Manual" says that the 33 and 44 both have a transmission/differential campacity of 52 quarts. I assume that's US quarts and I guess that would equal 13 gallons at 4 quarts per gallon. Seems like a lot but I know my son's 333 took a ton of gearlube when we changed it which suprised me. I see all the old Massey 102 and 101's used less than half that (24 quarts).

And not only does the tranny on a 33/44 take 13 gallons, the owner's manual wants you to change that oil every six months. I don't.
