I have a 180 massey, the multi power does not work. The hydraulics also don't work. The 3 point hitch does work. From what I have read here it seems the multi power not working may be related to the hydraulic problem. If so what does it take to remove + rebuild the pump? Thanks for any info, Wayne

Wayne-- my manual says the main pump must be removed first. below tells how to do this 1. Drain oil (2 plugs) 2. Remove lift cover 3. disconnect oil line between pump and gearbox at the multipower pump through lift cover opening 4. support center housing and gearbox on stands or jacks 5.remove step plates and bolts securing gearbox to center housing and split units apart 6.you will see an oil line inside, it must be disconnected at each end and removed. 7.remove four nuts (two on each end) securing dowel pins inside of hydraulic pump, and remove dowel pins 8. remove pump through opening in front of center housing. 9. remove the aux. pump from mounting bracket. note the shims between pump and bracket, which are used to adjust drive gear backlash during reassembly.

This should get her outta there. as for the disassembly I have all the diagrams and procedure just no scanner. I may be able to take a digital picture. let me know if you need more info-- Greg

Both the aux. hydraulics and the m.p. run off of the aux. hyd. pump, the 3 pt. hitch is an entirely seperate system and runs off the main pump. Get a service manual and do some testing before tearing anything apart. If you decide you have two bad pumps then the manual has a real nice step by step procedure for doing the transplant. I have never had any luck rebuilding any aluminum pumps, I suggest at least a brand new aux. pump, maybe someone else could help you with the main pump. If you do your homework and get your parts and gaskets lined out you can easily do this by yourself in a day, I did.
