I need a motor to replace the one in my 101jr as its stuck solid. In what other units was that 162 cu. in. engine used so I can start grazing salvage yards. If you can give me any other info that will help on this project,I thank you.

That Continental engine came in 3 different sizes, 124, 140, and 162 cubic inches. All three engines are the same, the only difference being cylinder bore size and thus the displacement differences. All parts other than the pistons and rings are the same. They showed up in the MH lineup in the 101/102 Juniors, and also in the MH 20,22,30,81, and 82 as well. Case used the engine in the V series. Oliver had it in the 44 model (pretty rare). Other ag applications used it also, I have one from a MH model 34 swather from the 1960's. A lot of the orphan and oddball tractor makes also used it. It was used on countless numbers of Lincoln welders and tons of them are still in use today. That would be a good place to start looking (welders). Also in stuff like power units, lighting plants, street sweepers, construction equipment, etc. The company is now called Wis-Con and you can search them out on the internet. Dealers for Continental engines are still widespread (check the yellow pages under Engines) but parts are out of sight for money. I don't think you'll have trouble finding a replacement if you can't use the engine you've got.
