I have a 202 industrial, it has the loader and backhoe. I wnet to change the condensor as was mentioned in anotehr post about wierd running and I have the Distributor cap the rotor and looks like a spacer (cover) then condensor and points.
My question the spacer is that a necessary item ? When I found a tuneup kit for the cont engine it has the rotor condensor and points. Also looked for a distributor cap , they had that but not the spacer. Is this correct and where would I find the spacer. Also the rotor sits on top of this.
thanks
jack

I believe what you are talking about is the dust/water seal and is not needed to run, but is very helpful in keeping the guts clean and dry.

Thanks to all that replied, I just found my manual and yep it is a dust/seal. Never seen one. Not that I have looked under alot of distributor caps either.
I got the wrong tuneup kit,as the rotor that came with the kit does not fit.Assumed all cont engines would use the same. Back to the dealer.
thanks again.
