What is the difference between a 175 and a 180? They have the same engine and horsepower, so is it a chassis thing?

Yes. The 180 was the first 63 Hp tractor to show
any promise from M-F. Everything previous, had you hugging the transmission case. This was the first throwback to the Massey-Harris 444. It
actually had a treaded operator's station platform, with some thought to design in 1965.
For the good intentions, it was under powered
compared to it's competitors, 65/70 HP 3020,
66 HP 1650 Oliver, 67 HP Ford 5000. By '70 M-F
stopped promoting it, then introduced the 1080,
at 80 HP, in '71, I believe. The 180 came with stock engine stress plates, to reduce block cracks from front end impacts. Tires were usually 15.5-38's, a row crop tractor, which sold less,
but was the choice to take of the 175/180's.
