I am interested in adding a loader to a MF165 Dsl. Does anyone have a 165 with a loader on it already?? How does it work? How is the hydraulics set up? Is it set up with a front mount pump? or the tractors hdraulics? Is it fast or slow? what type of loader is it? Does anyone have any suggestions

Hi, I have a 165D with factory loader,I think its a 230. It runs off a large internal aux pump. Loaders are nice but they are hard on the clutch and front end. Most people think they can use it as a bull dozer, which tears up the clutch. Bill

I have a 165 that used to have a loader on it, homemade by a previous owner (I think) it was a good loader while it lasted, had plenty of pressure with a front mount pump, but with tire chains on the back in winter and calcium in the tires, it still seemed a little light on the back end with some really big loads, but it made a great utility loader. just wears on the front axel pins a lot

I've got a bush hog model 2000 loader on my 165.
It was originally a trip bucket loader, but someone converted to a hydraulic bucket. The loader mounts under the axle in the back and also bolts to the castings with four holes in them, towards the front of the tractor. I have it hooked into the tractor hydraulics, even though the loader has a remote valve. I just lock one of the levers back on the tractor valve to pressurize the hose to the inlet on the remote valve. I use it mostly for cleaning barns. It works well for what I use it for.
