I have a MF 35 Deluxe gas that I bought with a manure and 4 ft. dirt bucket. Tonite I tried to lift a pretty good sized rock from the bush in the dirt bucket. It is still a little wet so I gave up when the wheels dug in deep.....but it seemed the lift struggled and I couldn't manouvre the tilt. I figured it was good for 2000 lbs, but it that being too optimistic. Thanks, (before I break my loader).

I have a 35 with the 3 cyl. perkins with a loader and trip bucket. I don't know about the 2000 lbs. but if I load up the bucket with to many rocks the back wheels lift and I can't move the tractor. She seems to have good lifting power.

Rick- Thanks. I did a little searching and I think the lifting capacity is associated with the number of gallons of hydraulic that the pump can push per minute. The pump for the MF35 is 4.5 gpm I think, which is not a lot and probably means in the area of 1200-1500 lbs.
I also live in Ont. (Harrow); where abouts are you?

The number of gallons per minute (GPM) has nothing to do with lifting capacity. Lift capacity is controlled by pressure (PSI) and the bore size of the lift cylinders, and, of course the placement of the cylinders relative to the pivot point of the loader mounting (mechanical advangtage). What the GPM WILL affect is the speed of lift.
