The lift arms on our 135 will not lift a very heavy load or they will not hold a load after the tractor has been shut off. Is this a problem with the hydraulic pump or with the rockshaft.

Also check it has the right oil in the transmission casing.

Ours had engine oil and didnt work properley, put the right oil in it (conforming with M1129) and it worked.

I would say it is the hydraluic relief valve. Unless you have some major leaks. It could also be the piston within the system that pushes the pressure to raise the arms. I own an 8N ford, same thing as your tractor is doing, replaced the piston and oring along with the pressure relief valve and it fixed it. I also have a MF135, they are basicly the same system.

Hi from South Wales UK.
Basically agree with Al.
From a safety aspect, why do you need the arms to stay up? Look for wear in the control valve/washers, damaged stack-pipe O rings and wear
in the lift cover piston, rings and housing.
