MF 85 Hydraulic Pump

I need help How do you pull the hyraulic pump
out of a MF 85 I have the top off I took the two pins out on each side I got the top shaft out the pump is loose in the bottom am I missing something.
do you need to split the tractor or does it come out the top.

Yes, you need to split the tractor to get the pump out. Splitting behind the transmission is actually quite easy. You do not need to remove the cover over the rear end. Just make sure you have the front axle blocked so it cannot pivot. Block the front half under the clutch, and use a heavy floor jack to support & roll the rear axle back away from the front half. You will then see why you could not raise the pump from the top, the pto shaft runs through the middle of the pump. I have done this before, so feel free to email me if you have any questions.
