Yes, the post below is correct, it was really a "no cost" feature that Massey used a lot in their advertising, etc. You'll notice on your shift platform there is a "B" which should be shifted into when doing belt work. There is a little housing at the front (carb side) of your transmission that holds the shifting rods or rails. On the twinpower tractors, there is a little arm that sticks out the side of that housing. When the tractor is shifted into "B" or into 4th gear (for road travelling), that little arm should move (can't remember which direction) and it moves the rod which in turn somehow causes the regular governor RPM limits to be bypassed. These would be the limits when doing drawbar work in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or doing something while in neutral. Thus, the higher RPM is obtainable for the belt work and higher speed driving.

That's the "Twin Power" rod which is basically a disconnect to the governor when you shift into the belt drive gear, allowing the tractor to achieve higher rpms for old belt drive equipment. If it's working correctly you should only be able to move your throttle through the normal range area when the tractor is in one of the numbered gears, but can move it on down if it's shifted into the belt drive gear.
