A lot of people make money buying old 20's for
around $1500 to $2000,paint them red,add MF decals
and resell them to yuppies for $3500 or so.I know a dealer that probably does 20 a year.

Hi Fred. What you have asked has pretty well been answered. The tractor is a TO-20 Ferguson. It was painted, by the tractor dealer I purchased it from, in red and gray scheme. This was 1976 and the nostalgia thing didn't mean much. People wanted a tractor and it should have paint on it. When I had it repainted at the local Massey-Ferguson dealership, it got the same paint scheme. Again what color it was didn't mean much. Also Ferguson did not have decals for their tractors and Massey-Ferguson did. It was identified by the early 1990's decaling available.
You are purchasing a 1951 TO-20 Ferguson regardless of the paint colors.

Hey Fred,
Seems like my last post got taken somewhat out of porportion. Some folks are like that you know. Its just there was so many different points being made and the only thing they had to do was direct you over on the left hand side of the screen to tractor photos or too the top of the page and click on Massey and you can get more info on what you have. My honest apologies if anyone was offended, no offense was really meant by the previous statements. Its all suppose to be in fun ain't it?

I can't believe this, this sounds like a bunch of old ladies cackling over who will get the last girdle at a half off sale. Go to the massey page(link at top of page and check out the stats there, I would think that the information there would be accurate, don't ya think?)

I own a 1955 TO-35 It is a Harry Ferguson. I believe the merge was before that, but Hary Ferguson still built his own line. Mine is suposed tobe gray sheet metal and matalic gren chassis

Hi Fred
the tractor you have is a 1951 TO 20 built by Harry Ferguson Inc.in Detroit, the origanal color would be Ferguson gray and the best match is NAPA Gray 99L3740. I expect some one has over sprayed the origanal color. The first Red and Gray tractor was produced in 1957 and was the MF 35 after the full merger with Massey-Harris-Ferguson.
Before that in 1956/7 the FE35 was built and was exatly the same as the MF 35 but was Grey and Gold/Bronze. so get the paint brush out, good luck.

in 1951 there was no massey ferguson yet it was still ferguson and massey harris.51 was before the merge. somewhere in the mix there was ford ferguson. but in 51 yours was a ferguson
