I have a 333lp that has an MHA 260 block, serial # 43027 (stamped). The bore is 4 inches. Is this the factory engine for the 333 or has it been replaced? Any other identifiers to look for? I need to replace the block as it has been allowed to freeze. Thanks!

The H-260 continental and the H-277 continental are the same engine block.Continental just made the bore larger.The H-260 has a bore of 3-7/8 in and stroke of 5-1/2 in.The H-277 has a bore of 4 in and a stroke of 5-1/2 in.The engine you have is not the proper engine.The model 333 used a continental model E208;Four cylinder;Bore:3-11/16 inches;Stroke:4-7/8 inches;Displacement:208 cubic inches;Compression ratio:6.5 to 1;Firing order:1,3,4,2;Pounds compression cranking speed:125 to135 P.S.I.Speed:[at crancshaft]Full throttle,no load:1,670 to 1,685 rpm;Full throttle,full load:1,500 rpm.
