Y-91 flathead gasket ....copper coat it or not?

I'm fixing to buckle up my Y-91 flathead and am not sure whether to spray both sides of the gasket with copper coating head gasket spray or install with nothing at all. Also, I plan to use new 3.5" studs and see the orignals are 3/8" 24 pitch thru the head and 3/8" 16 into the block.
Question: Do I use lock washers, no washer , star washer under the locking nut, castle nut or what kind of nut for the 15 studs thru head?
Thanks, Bob

copper coat it if it is metal, If its not dont use anything. If you are talking about head studs use a SAE flat washer that is hardend (grade 8)

It's metal on both sides with a composite material of some sort in between. One side hs lip round the cylinder hole. Can
t remember if lip goes up or down.

Regarding head studs. There are 15 and I wasn't sure whether to use flange nuts or washers.
Thanks for the advice. I couldn't find 3/8 24 Grade 8 flange nuts anyway at the HW store. I know they have SAE flat washers and nuts both in Grde 8.

Aren't real head nuts somewhat longer from end to end than regular nuts? At least some of the tractors that I've worked on seem to have head nuts that seem long.
