Do the MF135 Deluxe and the MF135 Turf Master have different ring and pinions? I have been told that they do. But can not confirm it. My sn is
9A T68420. If so, how much difference does it make? Tractor will be used for a small garden (3 acre). I use a 4ft rototiller for tilling.

You can do these things to find out. You need a stop watch and a long tape measure.

First you measure the distance the tractor travels in one minute in first gear at PTO speed. That's your rototilling speed, I presume. You can convert that to mph by multiplying by 60 minutes to the hour and dividing by 5280 feet per mile.

Then you go to the Firestone page I referenced already and look up the tires you have and the tires you are thinking of changing to. The new speed (mph) will be the new tire diameter times the present speed divided by the old tire diameter. Or more precisely the rolling radius of each tire.

That will tell you more than I will. I think my MF-135 Deluxe with 14.9-24 runs about 1.6 mph in first gear at PTO speed. That is twice too fast for many rototillers.

I have been into this before, but a long time ago, and I might be thinking of a 2135 or something. I am 'almost' certain if the ag tractor is multi-power, it will not be the same as industrial. But count the teeth on each and check is the only way I know for certain. Tom S.
