I am replacing the fender headlights in my 255, and having the devil of a time getting the rubber grommet that surrounds the bulb, and fits over the bowl-shaped housing, to fit back over the housing. Is there any tricks, or do these things just become too inflexible after a few years? Thanks

I always Install the bulb into the rubber first be sure it is in so the light is turned the right way when you put the rubber back in the housing. Spread A little hand cleaner around the outside of the rubber to lubricate it then just snap it into the housing I have put in many like that in the past 30 years or so.
