Have a line on a MF 135 tractor with 2100 hrs. It is a 3 cyl Perkins Gas. Interested in your experiences, positive and negative, with this engine vs the diesel. Seems to have been well maintained.

Thanks

I have had two MF's with the 3 cylinder Perkins Diesel and I have been more than pleased. They start easily in almost any condition and have run like a top for years without any problems.

I have a 135 diesel. Have a friend with a gas 135. I'm sure my diesel uses much less fuel and produces more torque. I don't have any cold weather starting problems that some tractors seem to have. My friend bought the gas model because his ford diesel was a bear to start in cold weather. Diesels generally run longer between rebuilds, and are usually more reliable. They are more of a pain if they run out of fuel...I'm sure it amounts to indivdual preference..... for my money, I'll take the diesel everytime.....

I have the same tractor as Bill and agree with him.I have used both gas and diesel in the past.
