My 165 Perkins gas burner died on me an will not crank back up. I've replaced coil, points, plugs, and cleaned out the carb. It will fire off like it's going to start then just spit an sputter and die. Any ideas what it could be. I was wondering if it could be the condenser.I have checked there is no water in gas. Thanks in advance.

The 165 gas we have had this problem and it was the fuel shut off solenoid not staying on traced the wire and it had worked loose. Does yours have a fuel shut off solenoid? It was our problem.

Clogged vent in fuel cap?
Clogged fuel filter or screens?
restricted fuel line?
restricted carb?
needle valves need adjusting?
Air restricted?
Valves sticking?
Sounds like it's not getting fuel. Check carb for h2o? Lynch
