Again, thanks for all the help with my MF50!

The throttle lever at the steering wheel wants to move itself to a lower rpm after you set-it. It is though it is slightly spring loaded. Is there an adjustment for this - to tighten it up?

Thanks!
Bill

MF 50 is a nice tractor. The throttle linkage has a (25 cent) friction disk located under the dash. The friction disk keeps the throttle in place. Access it from the battery box. Replace the disk and your throttle will be rock solid.

I just repaired the throttle assembly on my 50. There's also a spring on the throttle control rod that puts tension on the cork friction disk. My spring was sprung. Replaced the friction disk and the spring ($21 at the local massey dealer) and it works like new. You might also check the ball joint connector that connects the throttle lever to the throttle control rod and friction disk assembly. Mine was worn and needed to be replaced. Great tractor!
