My husband bought a block heater for his tractor. The heater is supposed to screw into a 3/4" pipe plug that goes into the water jacket. The plug is supposed to be on the block somewhere. He can not find where on the tractor it goes.It has a Perkins Diesel engine. Can anyone out there help him? Please email me if you have an answer for us and thank You all for reading this. B. I have a block heater on my MF 255 which is about the same size as the 65 only newer. Mine is located on the left side of the engine (while seated) which is the same side as the power steering pump. Unless the engine is terribly covered with dirt and grime it should be reasonably easy to see.
Big Dean has just returned from vacation and he could help if no one else comes up with anything.

I know Big Dean has a post on this board on page 5 today. If you don't read this for a day or so it may move to page 6. If you can't locate an answer and can't find his link send me an e-mail and I'll send you his address.

Good luck.

look on the bottom of the water pump.If the water pump has been replaced with the newer type or it came equipped with the newer type, the plug will be there. If not, you may have to put a new-type water pump on it. Or older more experienced people (like big Dean) may know where to add it in.
