Why does my 135 keep fouling the spark plug on no. 2 cylinder?

I forgot to say it is a 4 cyl and it seems to be fouling mostly with gasoline. The plug looks all black and is wet when I take it out. I can change it and it works fine for a little while then it starts missing real bad. The other day it started back-firing as soon as it started for a while.

Other possibles are plug wire or distributer cap.

Is it fouling with gas or oil?

Didn't even think about that! Shows how I'm not really thinking today! Its been one of those days the past couple of days! This may be the more probable cause of your problem. I know my 135 gave me some grief this past hay season with the points an ignition.

ONly 2 things I can think of right off the top of my head would be just the rings have gotten bad on that cylinder or the valve seals are gone! I may be as far wrong as you can get but thats what comes to mind. Hope it helps. Is it a 3cyl. or 4 cyl.?
