I have a 1100 and in last year I have done work on linkage and high/low shift. There are three bushing in shifting level shaft. These are still avilable at dealer and might cost as much as $30 each. You will need to pull at least the right hood sheet metal and may be the left side. Check the inside bottom of steering pestal for trash and dirt build up. Could use shop vac to clean out. The high/low linkage goes thru the bottom of pestal and has a small arm. The hole in pestal will wear and might need a bushing. The shaft on the arm will wear and either needs to be built up or the shaft replace on the arm. On mine I had to replace the high/low shift rail inside of trans. This part is under the hyd cover. The shift rail gets a grove it it from the detent pin. You might want to check the detent pin and the high low linkage under right fuel tank. Where do you live? Charlie/SATX
