The age can be determined with the serial number
which can be found either near the key switch or
or under the hood on the right side near the battery on a plate near the rear of the engine
but not on the engine. There is a good list on the massey serial list in this site!

Suggest to you that "lights on fenders" is a poor way to determine year of manufacture. Get the serial numbers and go to tractortips.com or look in a tractor book.

Paul, I have a 135 with the lights on the fenders as well and it is a 1966 model. My neighbor has a 1965 model with the lights on the fenders also.

I assume you have the full coveage square fenders with 2 headlights in the leading edge of each fender, mine is a '69 model and has them. But I got the original operators manual with my tractor and it shows these fenders as an option with the shell type fenders and head lights mounted on the sides of the grill as standard.

No, I don't have the flat fender with lights in the leading edge. They are mounted on the shell type fender as my owners manual shows them. The neighbor, I mentioned, has the same set up as my 135. There a no forward mounted lights by the grille on either tractor and they are 1965 and 1966 issues. Don't know when the lights started showing up mounted by the grille on the side panels.
