I have been given and estimate of $400 to weld my block that is cracked between three cylinders. They say they will waranty it but it seems like a very high price and I wonder if anyone else has gone through this and would have advice for me? The motor is a Z134-402294. I have no idea what cracked it it was working fine and all of a sudden I found water in the oil.

Unfortunatly Ferguson tractors are known for cracking the blocks between the cylinders. I had a TO-30 that I was getting water in the oil but it was the o-rings on the sleeves that had deteriorated and caused it. Ferguson blocks were to thin between the cylinders and would crack from the heat or the o-rings on the sleeves coming apart and letting water in and the freezing if not caught in time. You could try to find another block but that can be pretty hard to do, and thier usually expensive. Good luck
