I have 2 massey harris tractors S/N 44-GS 2689 and S/N 44GS 2645 is there aney way to find out what year they were made

You can always determine the exact month and year of manufacture of the MH44's by looking on the left side of the transmission casting near the clutch pedal. In raised letters it should show the month and year (i.e.; 11 50) would be November, 1950. I know my S/N is 13171 based on that date. I would expect yours to be around 1948.

Bill: I think you've got a 1945 101 Senior row crop by that number. A 30 would have a 162 ci 4 cylinder, not the 226. Is this possible? Tom
