I will be looking at a loader backhoe later today, MF 202. What should I be looking for to avoid trouble? Asking price is $5200, gas, and he says it runs good.

Mark, The "Buying your first tractor" piece in the Articles section on the YT homepage has a good checklist to carry with you when assessing the tractor. I'm assuming this tractor has the Continental Z134 engine, believe I've seen info on Big Dean's web site on particulars to look for with this engine. I bought a 202 with loader and factory 3 pt, no backhoe, awhile back. I highly reccomend grabbing hold of the distributor while it's running-any problems with the timing gears will cause vibration in the cam which you can feel doing this. I didn't and just finished the $1500 total rebuild. Check the power steering out well, I've had no luck with rebuild parts for the pump and a new one is $300-$400
