I have a 1950 22 Massey Harris she runs great but smokes and uses oil. What should the oil pressure read? it says 20. like all tractors she smokes under load, but she really smokes blue out of the breather pipe... is this bad? she runs fine you just have to keep adding oil

oil use has nothing to do with oil pressure. at 20 lbs that might be a little low but on old tractors thats not real bad your oil pres. is is only a sign of how good your oil pump is and how good the crank and cam bearings are. the oil use is a result of bad piston rings or valve gides that are wore and will have no efect on oil pres.
