Help!!
I have a Massey Ferguson tractor with a 145 continental engine. The distributor is bad and it has no numbers on it. The new distributors do not work--can anyone help.

Last account I had, Continental was bought and being handled through a company called WIS-CON TOTAL POWER, in Memphis Tn. I had the number and address at one time, but can find it if need be. They had all the odd hard parts like timing gears, crankshafts, even some replacement blocks for tow motors and industrial equipment. Tom S.

i have a 44 Special diesel, the block is cracked, and I am looking for a good used block. Any suggestions or leads would be greatly appreciated.
We live in Ontario, Canada so Canadian places would be best, but it doesn't really matter either way. Please e-mail me back at billandkaren@sympatico.ca

I just went to an old established auto parts here in town(salinas,ca) and asked for continental engine gaskets. They pulled out an old continental parts catalog and got me everything I wanted. I got all the engine gaskets and a rebuild carb kit for a marvel schebler tsx-43. The carb kit was 20 bucks and I paid about 40 for the head gasket, oil pan, front cover and side cover gasket. They had everything in stock! ELMER'S AUTO PARTS---831-758-3321

Check with Montes Equipment Company. You can do a search for Continental tractor parts and it will bring them up.

When I wanted some fresh con rod bolt washers for the Z134 in our MH50, I tried contacting Continental. I was told to go talk to MF, they handled parts for those engines. So I did, ordered them through the nearest dealer and had them UPS'd to me directly within 3 days. This was mid 1980's.

I was finishing up an engine overhaul with a rebuild kit that I had gotten from Central Tractor. Those parts worked just fine, but there was the odd thing like said washers that Massey sold.

Napa is good for ignition service parts. I dunno if they do carb rebuild kits, but Central Tractor does. If your starter, generator and voltage regulator are Delco, most automotive electrical shops can rebuild or replace those parts adequately and as cheap as anywhere else.
