If you have the F226 engine then, according to my books, you have a 101sr. The 102sr used a larger F244 engine for the low grade fuel(kerosene). The Nebraska Tractor Test never tested the 101 or 102 Sr. tractors so the horsepower is not listed. If someone has different info on the tractors, let us know so I can change my books.

The 101 Senior tractors were sold here in Canada as 102G Seniors. The G designates it as gas and the serial number will be found under the 101 SR heading. I don't know why they did this but it leads to a lot of confusion as people often mistaken there tractor for something it is but really isn't.

It should have about 35 drawbar and 40 belt horsepower.

Hello Tom ... the MH 101 and 102 Juniors had maybe a similar model designation situation happen to them (at least this is what I've been told). Originally, the Junior 101's were all gas and the 102's were the distillate (low grade fuel) version. Then about midway through production, MH had a number of changes to various components (including sidecovers, etc.) to both models. After that changeover, the 101 and 102 designations were kept the same in the USA but after that point all exports (to Canada anyways) were called 102's, and these were gas models.
