Does anybody know are these all the same? Mine had just a spring from the throttle lever to the gov. rod. My book shows the spring with the metal slug in the middle. Where can I get one?

Mine was the same way so we just made the 'metal slug' out of some round stock. We made it approximately the length of the coils on the spring. I would also grind off the edges of your round stock to keep in from binding in the coils.

that slug inside the spring is to insure the spring does not bend when pushing the throttle back to idle
