You said you did`nt think a 162 could be made from a 140 . Could`nt the block be drilled out to take the larger piston ???

I think I said that it would be doubtful, I don't know for sure whether or not it could be done (or not done) for sure. That's a big difference, 1/2" in diameter or 1/4" radius. I guess it would depend on the thickness of the cylinder bores in the original casting. Machining out 1/4" around the circumference of the bore would leave a guy with a pretty thin result and I'd guess you'd maybe be into the water jacket by that time. Any particular reason you want to go to 162 from the 140 other than a bit more power?

Thanks for the reply , I was just doin some thinkin , if they had the same block it could be done . To much time on my hands and alot of empty space in my massey memory bank !!!
