Just purchased a rough 1105 that has not worked in 5 years. It was slobbering oil from the exhaust. I thought a bit of work would clear it up, the trip home helped, two hours in road gear.
But it uses mega oil, no blowby, runs and sounds good, good power. Some help with the problem would be appreciated.

Slobbering will be "fixed" by high output power, not hi rpm's down the road. Ifin I had to speculate, one or more oil control rings are stuck from rust/crud and not doing the job, or cylinder bores are pitted.

do not let run unattended, it can run away from crank case oil, building rpm's until it self destructs.

No blow by? As in nothing comes out of the dipstick hole if you remove the dipstick whilst the engine is running? Is the front crankshaft seal leaking? How about the rear crank seal? The rear seal may be leaking and you dont know it if the drain hole in the bellhousing casting is blocked with crap. Are all breather pipes clear? Hornets or wasps are well known for blocking breathers. Oil either burns off or leaks. A couple of maybes for you to think about anyway. Good luck.
