I replaced the clutch last summer and noticed the new one had 12 springs in it and the old one had only 6. The pedal is very hard to push down. All adjustments were checked after I had it mounted to the flywheel and were EXACTLY like the book says they should be. The clutch shop said the new springs were 1/2 as stiff as the old ones so the pedal should be the same. Several people I spoke with said their new clutches acted the same as mine. What do I do? Replace the clutch again? One man said to cut 3-4 springs out with a torch to lessen the pressure. Extreme measures but I cant hardly push the pedal down. Clutch acts like it should, 1/2 way down stops the tractor from pulling and all the way down stops the pto. Any help is appreicated. Thanks, David
