Well hello everyone, Adam P here with yet another question.... Sprung a leak in the hydraulic loader filter canister…. Got that fixed, and got a new filter, but was not sure of the type of fluid to use… It’s a MF brand loader, mounted to a MF 65 with a front mount pump. I’ve read through the archives, and have heard permatran 3, or standard hydraulic fluid, but really not sure… Other choices better????
Thanks in advance,
Adam P PS The old fluid was red...is that right???

Seperate system and red, Could be dextron tranny fluid. 3 pt backhoes often run on it.

a lot depends where the oil comes from? the tractor rear end or dose it have it's own resavor just for the loader? if it's own resavor then just hyd. oil if from the tractor rear end then what ever oil a 65 will use might be peratran. some brands of oil are just color coaded so they don't mix wrong oils

they must think it's plumed to the rear end .but if you don't want to have all kinds of oil around peratran will work just fine just a little pricee
