Hello I recently purchased a Massey 35 and the right rear drum brake wants to hang up. If anyone could supply me an assembly drawing or an explanation on how to adjust this I would appreciate it.

There is a small plate towards rear of brake backplate, fixed at one end and with bent tab at other. About 2 inches by half inch. Slide that out of the way. You then stick a large screwdriver in hole to engage with a "star" wheel and lever it one way to udust up brakes and other way to slacken off. It goes in a series of clicks. You may hear the spring that holds it twanging a little bit with each click. Can't remember which way to slacken and which way to tighen. I just do it by trial and error. You adjust up till wheel can't be turned and then back it off about five clicks. Obviously if its stuck you'll need to get drum off to free it first.
