Water in oil. Changed oil and water gets in while setting without running. Does this have sleeves or liners on the cylinders? I have not see a tractor this model the plate says it is a Massy Harris Fergunson 40. It is a gas engine. Owner says he hit a stump while bush hogging and the tractor started getting water in oil. The tractor starts and runs but smokes a lot, which he says it got worse after he hit the stump. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The F40 has a Z134 Continental engine. They do have wet sleeves & the leak could be a sleeve seal but is more likely to be a cracked block between the cylinders on the bottom end. A cracked block is very common on those engines. The only way I know to tell for sure is by removing the oil pan & Inspecting the block between the cylinders.

Sounds like it might be a blown head gasket. A compression test is the next thing I'd do....
