Splitting Tractor Questions

When you folks split your tractor, is it necessary to remove the shifter/steering column assy? I need to replace either the input or PTO shaft seal on my MF50.

Aside from inspecting the clutch while I am in there, anything else you'd recommend serviceing/replacing?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Did you read the splitting/assembly article on this site under Research & Info to the left?

Before splitting you should have 3 real MF Manauls: Operator Manual, Repair Manual, and Parts Manaul.

I have all three! In addition, I have the IT manual and Big Dean's great CD.

I have an MF 50 tractor, and I have a serious leak from the transmission. What are the things I should be doing to determine what the problem is? Any advice would be helpful.

Larry:
I don't have an answer to your question, but I would suggest that you start your own post with your question(s). That way, it should get more exposure than having your question as a reply to someone elses' post, as it currently is.
Good luck,
Roger
