4 1/16" M&Ws get you to 285. Otherwise your checkbooks the limit if you wanna go real big.

M&W Gear, once of Gibson City, IL(I believe),sold
those piston kits. Most of the pistons were made
by Clevite, but this is all history. Any O-H kit
for a 260 seems to be an overbore, of 4 to 4 1/4".
These generic kits are easy to find, prices can
shock you. Last I knew of 'M&W', they were selling
grain boxes. The company had nothing to do with
engine kits. If you need one piston, for your old
M&W powered tractor, you will have to search for a
used one. Other wear parts like rings, bearings,
can be found for a 260. Good luck.

I wondered about that. I had read that M&W had sold and the new company dropped most of the drivetrain and engine components that M&W was famous for. Yet you still see posts that say get an M&W kit and boost your power. As far as the 4" and 4-1/8 - 4-1/4 kits. They are all but discontinued when you actually call and talk to the few outlets that still sell them. Unless you know of a supplier that is difficult to track down?

Thanks

a 277 is only a 4 inch bore, you can get as big a bore as 41/4 inch. that is in an M&W piston kit (i think)
