I know this is really nuts, but there is a plate riveted on the left side of the steering wheel that has some well worn printing on it. I have a 1964 FE35 made in Coventry England and would like to know what the plate says, and also, I would like to replace it. Anybody know where I can get a new plate? Thanks, C. T. Chandler, Jr.

The plate is the cold start instructions for the 3/152 diesel. I presume this is a 1964 MF 35X with the 3 cylinder Perkins since hardly any petrol models were made except for export to France. The plates are available mail order from Bertie at Dunlop Hydraulics in Northern Ireland. ( bertie@dunloptractorspares.com). Very fast turnaround and they cost about $5.
