Since she is smokeing bad, why not just take the time to get all new valve stem guides put in. also while you are at it, may as well have the valves cut ground or replaced too. it makes life so much easer not having to tear every thing down agin. alot of napa stores will have the tools to do all that after you get the parts.

Well you are going to have to replace one or more guides just to get it to stop smokeing any way. and i thought you had said that the 55 was in near flawlees shape?

Do your self a big favor and have it shaved and worked over at a performence shop. it will help for when you pull it. and you will know that the job was done right and is warented. BTW, how many MH's are you going to take to the pull?

Sounds like you might need to get the new wife on the tractors. have her pull with you. Than you cna have more than one MH at a pull, and you and your wife can be haveing funn together. Carefull of them darn SWD9's they are MEAN as all get out when it comes to the pulling. But as luck would have it they are very hard to come by and harder to find on the track. just like the MH 55 and 555.

wish i could do that... im hunting for a used trailer rating around 12,000 ibs.. strong enough to haul mh 44 or 55...i think 55 should have more than enough power to pull even in 3rd gear.. thats what the owner told me.. so its going to be interesting once i test it out sometime in summer time next year hopefully i get everything all done and fixed up and whup them! my wife is more of a city gal.. ha
