I want to remove the belt pulley on my 1948 MH-22 to replace some leaking seals. It appeared to be a very simple task - remove the four bolts holding the pully housing to clutch/gear housing and take it off. However, the pulley housing kind of "drapes" over the frame and doesn't allow it to pull straight out. I've fidle farted around with this thing and can't see how to do it without unbolting the engine from the frame (and a multitude of other affected pieces) and jacking it up till the pully housing can pull off. This seems unbelievable. Am I overlooking something??
Thanks

Bill you should be able to remove the rear engine bolts and jack it up enough to remove the drive without too much trouble. It does'nt take too much height to get it over the frame

Yeah...doesn't appear like much additional height is needed. About 3/4" should do it. The steering column, gas tank and fan blades hitting radiator cowling might have to be delt with. I'll find out. Thanks Ron....
