JD 14T Baler Questions

I have a JD 14T baler that is a 1962 model year make. I also have a 14T that is a 1958 model year make. These two balers, while similar are yet different - at least with respect to the knotter assy. My question is - can I completely replace one knotter assembly (frame and all) from one baler to the other. Also, other than the knotters, how similar are these balers with it comes to exchanging parts?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Your knotters are the same.
The only change from '61 to '62 was the plunger stop catch changing from a hook to a lever/pivot. Don't know about the other changes.

Ernie,

Thanks for the reply! I meant to post this at the implement alley page and got mixed-up!

Thanks again,
Bill
